The Art of Becoming: Knowing who God is.
Anika Chestnut

The Art of Becoming is enhancing my knowledge of who God is in my life. However, I want to take it a little deeper.  By knowing who God is, I must know who I am in Him. "And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you" Psalm 9:10. I must learn to put my trust in God and trust the process. So, I am taking the advice of Nike Corporation: JUST DO IT.  It is that simple.

For the Month of May 2020, I did a study on the name of God. It was a great study for sure. I learn the different name and scriptures of what God name means. By the way, have you ever looked up the meaning of your name? Do it. So here goes, my name means sweet-face, fearless, soldier, or gracefulness. My name originated in Africa.

What does the Bible say about God:

  1. He is Spirit.
  2. He is love.
  3. He is truth.

But more importantly God is the creator and overseer of our lives. Wow. Powerful. If God is all these things, guess what, we already have the Power to walk in authority and power that is in us. WE LACK NOTHING.

We have the power to change our lives when we are READY!!!! Are you Ready to become who God created us to become.  He did not say to be perfect, but we are perfect through HIM. In Hebrews 13:20-21: Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,  make you [a]complete in every good work to do His will, working in [b]you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

My God has NEVER forgotten me…even when I get off the spiritual road. He always reminds me that he’s there for me. Just when I think I am going to fall off the cliff, he rescues me. I truly enjoy your blog and it’s part of my daily readings. Thank you and may God’s grace always be upon you.
